Hey if anyone has any thought I would appriciate it- I was driving on the Freeway and I started sputtering. It would do it more when I would give it more gas. When I changed gears it would stop until I accelerated. It was idling rough, like it was missing and the whole car was like shaking ( but that stoped when I changed the plugs. -Any thoughts? timing? bad fuel pump, bad injector(s)? anyone know how to test the pump or injectors.

-CA18DET (all stock everything)

What did your plugs look like when you changed them? You didn't really say that this happened out of nowhere.

I thought they looked ok for as many miles as I have put on them. The tips were no longer shiny, but the ends of the threads were blackened... does this suggest some other potential problem?
