sputering/misfiring: maf, ecu or something else?

My car is sputtering/misfiring on acceleration and I can't seem to pinpoint a problem. So far I've changed the distributor, spark plugs, and spark plug wires.After doing so the car still sputters/misfires upon acceleration. I'm thinking it's either a maf or ecu problem, but i could be wrong. Let me know what you guys think. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.-Mike

i have the same problem with my 92 and cant figure out what it is the ecu shows 55 and i cant figure out whats wrong can some one please help i have three other 2fwhoretys so i have the extra parts but can someone please help me pin point my problem thanx DRIFT OR DIE

my car is doing the same thing right now checked the plugs and wires im pretty sure its my injector im gonna do a compression test to make sure but try unplugging each injector one at a time or pull the plug wires out and if nothing changes then you know you what cylinder is bad. and since you already changed the plugs and wires its most likel your injector.

after checking the fuel pump i noticed alot of rust at the bottom of the resivoir where the fuel pump sock is located so im gonna change the tank and hope that it fixes my problem DRIF
