Well, I was on my way home from work yesterday and everything was as usual: no AC because my n2o line got in a fight with my high-pressure AC line and the n2o line definetely won, uncomfortable friggin' driver seat due to high miles, listening to some John Coltrane trying to relax and then it happened. My motor started shaking violently and vibrating like my motor mounts had turned to spam. Fear set-in immediately because: 150k miles on my original motor, I get a little spray-happy sometimes with the n2o, and although I do take VERY good care of my car, let's face it I am a track whore:)
I felt the all too familiar feeling of a spun rod bearing that I remember quite well from my sr20 that I blew. I pulled over to the side of the road, checked everything. No leaks in the intake plumbing, no disconnected sensors, etc. So, I drove home in 2nd gear at around 3k rpms to put less stress on the motor. When I got home I realized that my A/F and nirous pressure guages were working, nor where my nitrous and bottle warmer l.e.d.'s
Yadda, yadda, yadda. I reset my ECU and everything was fine. Back to normal, and I assumed that since I've been having electrical issues, my signal feed wire from the ECU to the A/F gauge got some bad voltage feedback or something.
Well, I woke up this morning and started her up around 5:30am, let her warm up for 5 minutes like I do every morning. As soon as I began to back out it happened again. So I just said oh well and reset my ECU, but no worky. So I pulled all my plugs, checked my MAF, etc. and was baffled. None of that worked, so I began to troubleshoot a little by pulling all the wiring harnesses of of the coil-packs one at a time to see if one of them was bad because I did not have my multimeter on me. Those were all good. Then I followed the same routine with my injectors, and blammo it's the third injector from the right on the front bank of cylinders. I pulled the harness of the injector and the car was running exactly the same as it was when it was plugged in. Found the problem, but It's now 8:30am, I am 2-1/2hrs late for work, and I am stuck with no ride(resentment towards my brother who's driving my SE-R setting in). So I called my trusty neighborhood nissan parts guy;) who's name I will not disclose due to possibility of his phone ringing off the hook from people wanting his discount since he's a member here. I guess I'll start calling junkyards.
