heys. yah i just spun out in my new 95 SE :( did a nice 540 across a high way and stopped after skippin a concrete island thing. well my back right rim was pushed in at the bottom and the bottom part that hold the wheel (looking for technical term) is bent. So yah, i cant get it checked until after memorial weekend so i was hoping to at least find out what i obviously messed up. What is that lower suspension "lever" thing actually called? any idea?

thanks, Tom

The following probably are bent.

- Lower Control Arm ("lever" thing)- Hub ("part wheel bolts onto")- Wheel

The other arms shouldn't be too bad if the car hit the island straight on. If you hit it at an angle the toe rod might be bent as well.

hm yah the toe is funked up too so im guessin i should add that to the list. The wheel looks pretty decent actually. argh i just got the thing. i knew tires with 560 treadwear cant be too good for anything but surviving forever.. (car came with them..)

time to spend more cash!! yay..

I almost hit a curb today. I was going to this chicks house following my friend, and we drove through some water in the street right before the turn, from like a sprinkler or something. anyway, I was in 1st gear and I thought, "yeah, wet wheels, I'll just kinda slide a little bit". ended up kicking the end out too far, pushed the clutch in and counter steered, but the wheel caught as soon as I did that and I was going straight for the curb. yeah, I only spun like 90 degrees. jumped on the brakes and skidded to a halt. good thing no one was behind me.

What if there were kids playing near the sprinkler? Or in/around the street? Yet another reason to not act foolish on the street.

I was turning off of a highway onto another street when I went through the water. the residential area was another 200 yards down the street I was turning on to.

I did the same thing on the highway when I first got mine. It was raining out and I had the stock tires on it that the person before me turned in to slicks. I hit a puddle of water and flipped a 180 and went backwards untill i got stopped on the shoulder---untouched. But it caused a wreck behind me--oops!
