i have a 89 240sx. and when i try to do doughnuts at only a quarter tank in gas or less. it spudders like it has no fuel. but if i do wide doughnuts then its fine, what could be wrong is it the gas geuge or maybe the fuel pump.

change fuel filter and run some throttle body cleaner into the throttle body.. doesn't hurt to try.. 89 cents a can of throttle body cleaner and like 5 to 10 bucks for new filter.

Would makes lots of sense that when you slosh fuel away from your fuel pump it would spudder Could be an obstrucked fuel pickup, or you have some kinda crap in the that shifts around when you do crazy stuff and blocks the pick up for a second. I'd pull you fuel pump and take a look at it. Don't use a lighter.
