The crankshaft sprocket gives every one that rebuilds the CA hell! Atleast the majority of us! In very very rare ocasions it can come off by hand, rigging up a puller or wedging something behind it and tapping it out. If none of these options work, as they probably wont, its going to have to be cut off. When i ran into the same problem, i couldnt get that piece of crap of and left it upto my machinist to take it off. What he did was cut two holes into the front of the sprocket opposite of each other using an acetyline/oxygen torch and broke the thing in half. He didnt damage the crank or the old oil pump, which i didnt care for the old pump anyways. Goodluck!
