eibach sportline/kyb agx seems to be a common setup for most people, myself included

I might be in a market for a different set springs... would tein s tech or other springs would deem as an upgrade?

I don't really know how to describe it, I am a suspension noob, but the sportline feels alittle soft. and no, I won't get coilovers, it's just not cost efficient to me

RS*R Race are very good. Linear rates, 5.0/4.2kgmm and with a good drop...these are what I have.

But if your roads are poor, these springs will punish your rump.

Also not sure how long the AGX will hold up to these rates, although I've put 7000 on them with no signs of trouble so far.

I am someone who JUMPS the rail roads, I don't care about the shocks, which is why I said no coilovers.... jumping on a 1500$ coilover is going to hurt

anyways, how about tein s tech?

I have Tein S-tech and AGX's and I love them. This set-up has provided a decent drop and a very noticeable difference in handling. Since I do not have any experience with the other springs mentioned I have no clue of any differences between them. I can post pictures of them on my S13 after I get off work.

S-Techs and AGX are great for daily, but not a "performance" combo. If looks are your thing, they will do fine.

When I did my suspension setup, I emailed KYB Amercia to see what they said about their AGX. They told me NOT to run the AGX with anything other than stock springs as that is what they were designed for. Stiffer and lower springs (ie RS*R) would reduce the life of the shock according to KYB. Plus, my buddy has them on his Z28 Camaro and in less than 2 years, they are about shot. He has to keep them on full stiff now to keep off the bump stops on daily driving. And his suspension is stock as stock can be. Go see if you can find some KYB Buzz Spec (JDM only) shocks. Those are designed for performance springs.

RS*R Race Springs + Apex N1 Shocks + Cusco top mounts = nice homebrew coilover. Or just go buy Nismo S-Tunes like I have said a thousand times

Keep in mind that the 240SX doesn't have a lot of suspension travel, especially up front.

I did like the RSR springs for autocross on a friends car. I had the AGX/Sportline combo for a while and the RSR/AGX was a decent setup on a friends car. I ended up ditching my setup for coilovers.

i would do coilovers but i drive on some roads that would require my needing a kidney transplant every 2 weeks

rico even s-tunes are a little stiff for me, springrates are like rs*r race level right? thats why i like rs*r down, theyre quite a bit less than race, still plenty stiff though, and they have a good looking drop...

as you can see from my sig my car is in need of a lowering a bit
