"springs" are just a general reference to a suspension part. there are two basic types of springs, "leaf springs" and "coil springs". Since the Versa has only coil springs, whenever we refer to "springs" for the Versa, we are referring specifically to "coil springs".
And it may just be you. The V is actually a pretty stable little car despite its tall cabin. The car WILL go squirrely on you, though, if you are still using the stock tires. I'm sad to say this, but even my specific snow-compound tires do better on 50 degree bare-and-dry pavement than the stock tires did. I can only imagine the kind of grip I'll have once my new 3-season tires are installed in the spring.
