is it worth buying lowering springs and some struts, or save up for coilovers?? how will they differ in handling?

Search in the suspension forum.

IMHO coilovers are overkill for the street/occasional autocross. The ride is usually harsher and it costs an arm and a leg.

Coilovers are definately better for handling, no doubt, but for the street springs/struts are my recommendation. If you are going to autocross alot or road race and don't mind the usually bone jarring rise, coilovers are for you. But the springs/struts are suited to most people.

well i like coilovers better because the spring is matched to the shock and the shock is matched to the spring and both come from the same factory. Also the ability to adjust ride height.

however heart has a good point and if you dont plan on racing at all then spring/strut would be better for you.

However there are some coilover kits that ride fine on the street from Cusco and Apexi.
