I have a 2011 AC 3.5 SR...

So ive done a lot of searching the past few days and there is sure a lot of info to sort through....

I have had my car for 3 months almost and i am officially disgusted by the enormous wheel gap. While i said initially i was going to upgrade to larger tires and wheel, it appears my best option is some form of lowering.

So i begin thinking that some Eibachs are my best bet. My worry is long term affects of lowering on stock shocks/struts... What your thoughts on this?

Next thing i looked into were BC coilovers. While price is much more, it is not too bad for coils....But i have to say the reviews i have been reading between noise and stiffness issues, it is going to be extremely difficult to justify spending that kind of money for a product many are complaining about. Please feel free to sway my opinion otherwise...

If teins coilovers were not so expensive, my comments on BC would not even need to be made...On that note however, anyone know of a good place to purchase the Teins?? I would gladly take a look.

So i would prefer to go with the Eibachs but I am really worried about the strain it places on my other suspension components...after all my car is a lease :/

Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

Im currently on eibachs right now, and ive put about 5000 miles on it and i have no issues whats so ever *knocks on wood*. the eibachs are said to work better with the stock suspension than an other lowering spring because it isnt an aggressive drop. it sits the car nice and clean. But now i do want to go lower as far as no finger gap with coils but since i have the nismo aero kit its a decision =\ tho i can raise it for the winter if i get the coils...... :chuckle:

If you got the money, go for the coils.you can always adjust the height to whatever you want it to be. With eibachs are another way to go if you're on a budget. They worked out for me so far with the springs. I have exactly 60k miles on mine and they stand good til this day

So with the lowering springs....is there anything that can be done to decrease the strain on the stock suspension or am I just gonna have to sit back and hope for no issues?

I've never heard of them before.. so I wouldn't trust them. I'd rather not be the guinea pig for something as important as my car's suspension IMO.

I'd play it safe with the Eibachs. That's what I'm going to do in the next two months or so, as it's the most cost effective way to get rid of the huge wheelgap. Of course, if you're looking to go lower than just deleting the wheel gap, coilovers would be a better option for you ultimately.

It just depends on what you're future plans are for the car. You always can resell the parts when your lease is up, so that shouldn't matter too much.

Well im definitely doing my research on them....their customer service so far has been more than helpful. I would like to believe that they are willing to help make this product fit perfectly to our needs.

I will be in contact with them more throughout the day. In the mean time...here is the thread i began to gauge interest on these coils:

Can anyone comment on how much different the coilover install is from just lowering springs? I could definitely pull off the spring install. Just not sure what else it entails....Thanks

Here is a pic XYZ sent me of the altima coupe coils...could be generic but they say its for our car..

Ya as you can see mods shut down my interest thread...

I spoke with them a bit more but basically they are pillow ball mounts, i believe 30 ways adjustable, adjustable spring rates to your liking.

The highest height is no more than a 1/4" lower than stock and lowest it goes is basically to a point that your car cant more due to bumpers stuck on the ground.

I told them I would be a 'prototype' of sorts although they have already been made for our car. Im not expecting them for free but definitely a significant amount cheaper since there is no testimony towards these and I want to help them get sales through the forums. So now i am waiting on their response about price as im a little hesitant to drop $900 on a product we know really nothing about.

I just picked up an impact wrench and air ratchet so im itching to get these things now...Lol. Will keep you posted

So things are not looking good with XYZ...not returning any of my emails. Guess they dont want to well their products??? I will let you know if anything changes but at this point i may be changing my mind and just throwin on a set of eibachs and using the rest of the money i save on an exhaust and racingline y-pipe....Decisions decisions.....

I got my Eibachs installed today and so far so good. Turns better and it is a little bouncier in the rear. I decided on the springs bc I don't track the AC. My struts have some milage on them so I figure they won't see as much strain. As far as the wheel well gap, so much better, this is how ACs should come off the line. I'll get pics when I wash/polish in a few days.

Good to hear.. I really want to get that Eibach kit. Only thing holding me back is the struts going out sooner than expected, thus forcing me to pay the kind of money I would have to pay if I had just got the BC or TEIN coils :gotme

I think I'm ultimately gonna stick with the Eibach springs, though... I already have two 12s in my trunk, so the rear end is a little lower than the front. I figure with the Eibachs the car will sit perfectly.
