Im sure this has been asked a thousand times, but what do you prefer, i was thinking of getting the GodSpeed Coilovers for $480 but I also found a pair of Ebiachs for $100. Now i do plan on drifting occasionally, but not on the track that i know of. so would i be fine with just springs?

cut your springs and save the money, you're going to need it to pay off fines and court fees.

springs are better then the coilovers? and i wont have to pay fines because around my area are alot of closed courses that allow social drifting.

Stock springs are better than Godspeed coilovers. They're garbage. Don't waste your money. Don't be a cheap a**, either. You gotta pay to play.

BTW, it's "Super hicAs"

Hmm, "social drifting" ... words of the day. A good coilover system allows for adjustments of proper dampening and ride height. I would think for drifting you would want to have those options. Myself personally, I don't recommend cutting factory coils.

invest in learning how to drift first.

if that is your goal. then see where it goes. while doing that just save money, then you have options available when it comes time. the more you get into drifting (not e-drifting) the more it's going to consume your wallet. so just save.

Good advice. Oh, and just for the record I should state that I'm not a drifter, I'm a dragger. But each sport has it's own suspension preferences and that would be another thing to invest time in ... educating oneself in suspension geometry. I learned about dragging from the time I was very young by simply hanging around my dad and his friends at the track. I suppose the advice I could give is the same for drifting. Hang around, ask lots of questions and their recommendations related to your questions. Get it all right from the mouth of the horse, per say.

Have you owned them? From what I've seen Godspeed really isn't that bad of a company. BlackZenki rocks their complete arms and links package and they hold up pretty good considering he drifts quite a bit. Yea, they're cheap, and you aren't going to get some of the stuff more expensive coilovers have, but Im sure they hold up fine. Until you've actually owned them and driven them long enough to see if they hold up or not, stop saying they're "ebay garbage". You can't give an honest opinion until you've owned a set. so chill

Everything from GodSpeed is garbage.

Go invest in some DG-5s, Aragosta, or Ohlins.

Why exactly is Godspeed garbage? I'm just putting it out there. I know nothing about them, but maybe others would like education by proof too.

where's the proof? I have not yet heard of a group of people who owned godspeed and they all broke. Sure they're bouncy. for the same price as a shock/strut setup your not going to get the best. But its better than nothing. I looked into godspeed, but I was looking for something for my dd, which is why I opted for stance lx's.

op, its your money. For drifting coilovers will be 100 times better than shock/spring. If your unsure about godspeed, look for legitimate reviews from people who have actually owned them, not by these people who go by the price tag
