I have 17" rims on right now and I was wondering what kinda springs height should I get? I was thinking about Eibach, but it lowers almost to 2 inches, (1.8 in front, 1.7 in back i think). I don't want it that much. I will try to drift a little, but mainly dragging. I was thinking aobut around 1 inch drop but I can't find a 1 inch drop for Eibach pro kit...is there such thing?

most springs will lower your car more than 1.5", at least the ones I have found. if you can, try to find a set of NISMO springs, I dont think those lower the car as much.

otherwise, if your drag racing get a 3-way mono-tube coilover front and rear from some place like chassis tech(morroso) and bolt them in. it wont do rela well on twisty roads, but they rock for hooking up in a drag race.-chet

Heres a solution:Buy coilovers! Then you can adjust it to your perfect height. :)

i can't find coil overs any where, except the ones that cost 1300+ and i don't have $1300 to spend on the coils.

you could get ground controll coil-over sleeves, and get a good shock to go with them. but Im of the mind if I do something, I do it all out, and do it right. I hate redoing things, I learned that with my 300ZX.-chet

Yes, a good set of springs and shocks would go much better over time and in quiality. The pro-kits ive heard drop 1.2front and 1.3 back, just what ive heard. I would definately get springs over coil sleeves bc ive heard nothing but bad things about the sleeves. Plus i dont think they improve the handling as well. Im not sure why. I guess id better go press the pretty little search button myself now. But id go with the springs and shocks for sure.

uh, what do you mean?

Anyways, The coil overs cost 1300 something bucks right? While the spring and shock cost about 500 the most? Hm....

yeah, considering myself and c-kwick talked about this exact subject in depth. I would look for that thread(its long) and read it over, for both of you. I dont feel like retyping all of it.-chet

Exar, it's not like you have better things to do anyways, so start retyping brother. J/K. I did look at the threads about springs and sh*t, but all them arguing is bugging me so I quit reading. Do ground control make coil over sleeves for 240sx? Hmmm, searching it is.

ah ****, too much reading. I don't wanna drop my car more than 1.5" anyways, that's rediculous. I've read that thread about the springs and sh*t, good info though. I'll just get the Eibach 1.2 in front and 1.3 in the rear with Tokico Blue shocks. I can get that set up for less than 500 bucks. I don't AutoX or drifting anyways, maybe some but i love dragging. I'll get my car to the 13 secs mark and i'm happy, maybe 12"s. Thread close, or someone close it for me, hehe.
