From a previous thread regarding a group buy on body kits:
bmwkiller wrote:You want to organize a group buy, lets see if Eibach will make a new batch of springs for the 90-96 cars. How many orders you think we'd need? Hell, maybe I'll call 'em. Anybody in (besides me)?

So I called Eibach. They told me the order would have to come through a distributor since they don't sell directly, and reproducing a discontinued part would require an order of at least 100 kits. Probably not gonna happen. I still want springs though. What is this 'cali-customs' of which you speak? A google search brought up lots of low-rider sites, and a few references to the Cali drug cartel and US Customs. Thanks

Check with Wes, I think he still has a set. His are cheaper than you can find anywhere else.

I would love to join your efforts to get Eibach to make another batch of lowering springs although I have a '04 with active suspension. I notice a different Eibach model number for the newer body style. Do you have any thoughts on this subject? I have 20" rims with 265's in the front and 285's in the back. The car would look 100% better if it was lowered by an inch and I assume handle a little better. I look forward to your response.

The later Q uses a different spring, so we would ahve to make an order for 100 G50 springs and or 100 F50 springs

I'm in the market for some G50 springs for my '94. I'm looking for 1.5"-2" drop. Still have a set Wes? 100 pieces would be a bunch to presell. Are there 25 people who want a set?

I can probably do another GB on the Cali Customs..... Wont bother unless i can get over 5 people that say they want them (which means 3-4 people will actually pay)

Wes,

I would be interested in a set. But would like to know how much it would cost first. I would like to have the set you have extra if you can sell. I need to do the conversion to a Standard suspension in the next two weeks since I will be heading out of town for a while with the car.

That's a lot. Whats even worse is they told me 100 sets, not 100 pieces. It's 100 people, not 25.

$250 per a set? That's not bad, I would go for it for that. Much better than 100 sets! That's crazy. Put me down on the list if we're setting up a 5 person group buy.
