now before i begin… yes i've read the numerous post on springs, suspension, and coil overs. I had the meagan coil over set on my 07 m45 sport. these coils are broken, so I've decided to go back to kyb struts and just ordered the eibach lowering springs from ebay… I have 20" wheels, and I'm one my second set of tires in 2 years… now this time i absolutely need to get it right because i don't want this car to become a liability. i just need a definite answer as to what i need to do to get a as close to factory wheel alignment as possible, spc camber kit, or are the camber bolts good enough? I've read all the post and still can't seem to figure out which is the correct way to go.

thanks fellas

Camber kit huh? I'll be dropping my M this weekend on Tein H Techs. One reason I went with them was that I was under the impression(from posts on this forum) that I wouldn't need a camber kit because the drop is mild.

I'll do the drop and wait a week or so and get an alignment and go from there.

Yeah, in the future i think im done with coils, ill just do springs out the gate. funny thing is, before i took my car to the mechanic to find out that my coils were broken, i recently departed with my factory struts and springs... talk about timing....

But i called that number for those camber bolts that i seen in the suspension thread but its no longer in service. Are the bolts just as good as the camber control arms?

Every M is different when it comes to lowering it. Some have gotten away without needing a camber arms for the front when lowered on Eibach springs, as for coils, the top hat should have had a camber adjustment. As for the rears, camber arms are usually necessary. I am lowered on Tein S springs, and I definitely need front and rear camber arms to bring it back into spec. Infiniti's come with natural camber from the factory, hence the reason when lowered the camber is more noticeable.

I just got my eibachs installed... that thing is way way lower than i expected. Im bottoming out on everything. And the wheels are ultra tucked in. Looks like a damn honda lol. These have got to go, unless something is wrong with the way they installed

Lol a lot of people have said that about the Eibachs including myself. I originally had them, then switched to the Tein H Techs.

Did you change your shocks or still running the stocks one? I'm lowered on S Techs too but change my shocks with KYB.

Eibach springs lower it way more than the Tein S springs.

from what I have read it depends on the car and the type of springs. I have the eibach springs and I have the eibach camber kit also just on the front, not on the rear. my car is close to spec but a little camber is what I was going for. the bolts from what I have heard do not get you into spec but I have heard others had no problems with the bolts. how old are your shocks? it might be time for some new shocks. I agree the eibach springs are the lowest you can go before you switch over to a coilover kit.

I thought S techs were lower that's why I went with them.
The specs said 1.8" in front and 1.1" in rear compare to Eibachs 1.6" and 1.0

I have the kyb struts that were installed the same exact time as the springs, so i know dor sure its not time for new struts, might be time for a new car though, its starting to become a headache

I'm lowered on Eibachs and running stock 19" sport wheels w/Michelins super sports 245/40/19. My M isn't my daily driver and I can now rotate all four (I previously had a staggered set up). However, my fronts are in spec and my rear has a little camber - my decision because I like the traction factor, but not enough camber for me to worry about.

You mentioned that you're on 20's, are the sizes squared all around or staggered? Also, where are you located at? If you're in Southern California, I strongly suggest you contact West End Alignment (in Gardena) - ask for Darin (owner) or Chris (son). They are, by far, the best alignment gurus in the business. They've aligned many of my cars with different suspension set ups and I couldn't be any happier. They have methods of tuning suspensions to fit everyone's need. For example, about a week ago, I put on all new Michelin Super Sports and had the car aligned - they had me sit in the car and make sure the steering wheel was centered and they aligned the car while I was in the car. They aligned the car to my driving needs and style. At the next engine bay, Darin (the owner) was installing coilovers on the new M3 which the owner had staggered 20's...his car was NICE!!! The father and son team are real race enthusiasts and I was fortunate to meet them while I was getting my car dyno'd - we chatted and he offered his services to me since he knew my car was lowered....the rest is history.

in order to get your car aligned properly and in spec you will need:

1. Front adjustable camber arms: http://www.spcalignment.com/component/s ... m&to=USATo

2. Rear adjustable control arm and bolt (toe kit): http://www.spcalignment.com/component/s ... m&to=USATo

*optional but recommended: road balanced wheels/tires, front steering tie rods and stabilizer bars, bushings, KYB bump stops

I wish i lived on the west coast... but unfortunately i live in NYC where potholes and salt are king. Im staggared with concept ones RS8. Do you have a specific website to get all the optional parts in one location or should i use my good buddy Google? With spring about to knock, i just wanna have everything rolling worry free. And i havent been able to find a good shop in the area that i can go to with all my needs and request, so ive been bouncing around from place to place...

SPC = Eibach

just get the kit that will save you $$$. Traditionally, SPC makes a lot of the industries suspension/alignment kits for many makes/model vehicles.

I know that on certain alignment kits from Eibach, it'll have the SPC stamp on the product...
