If I don't have the money for a complete coilover set and decided instead on getting the Eibach Sportline, what is the best matching shock set to get with these springs? Also, how much are they and where can I get them the cheapest?

try shox.com

Don't know what will go well with your springs, I'm currently looking for a set of shocks to go w/my sprint lowering springs. If you hear of anything, or find a good set of shocks for cheap, holler!!

good luck

Koni or Kyb should do fine.

I've heard the kyb gr2's are marginally better than stock, not worth the money. Locating the AGX's have been a biatch! Koni's are too expensive, and tokico's apparently leak (from what I've heard). Not too many options, I may go with the agx's or tokico, despite what people say, all depends on the price difference.

oh, pdm-racing.com has some really good deals on suspension components such as camber kits and bushings. They are also selling their front tower brace for $40, a very good investment. I put mine on Satuday, and you can feel the difference, not mind blowing but well worth it. Highly recomend one, especially at this great price (I think I should apply for a job with them).

Are there any other options for under $500?

:D

Is this the rod that goes across the engine for support? If not, what is it?

yeah, I think you have the idea. It goes across the engine bay, and is mounted onto the strut towers, 6 bolts, really easy to install. It reduces flex in the chassis, giving the car a sturdier feel. Very nice performance mod for the price, if you plan on lowering your car, get the camber correction kit from pdm, and ask them to throw in a front tower brace. I'm asking them if they have a rear available, and I'll be ordering rear camber correction bushings from them as well. If you really want performance outta your suspension, everyone tells me that sway bars are a better add on than springs, there is just no show because no one can see them, so people usually look over them, except for enthusiasts. Suspension techniques is on sale at shox.com for front and rears, including bushings for $229.00. When I have some more cash, I'll get them, maybe. Didn't realise how much $$$ I gotta spend just to tighten up the ride, wow!!! Get the tower brace bro, you'll thank me for it later, especially while the special is on, very well built and good quality for the money!
