I'm trying to locate spring isolators for KYB G2 all around on a 91 s13. KYB doesn't make them (neither does Monroe). Springs are Eibach but they don't make the isolators either. I've talked to 4 different Nissan service shops but no seems to have the part listed. Are there any OEM replacements available?

What do you mean isolator?

There is a thin rubber o-ring that fits between the strut seat and the spring. Some springs come with rubber wrapped around each end, but these did not. The purpose is to reduce squeaking from metal on metal contact. Some call them spring insulators, or cushions.

Thanks compactfean,
I'd found that part earlier today but the image on the rock auto site is of a complete damper. I left a message with them for clarification but haven't heard back yet.

Talked to a couple of techs who suggested covering the ends of the springs with heater hose. I've also got a call into my nearest Energy Suspension distributor.

Damn thanks for the heater hose idea. That will help get me get a little lower than stock for my drag setup. Yeah I noticed that they don't have a pic.. That sucks.

Is it spray-on or do you dip the item?

I dropped off an assortment of hoses to the shop this morning. Just got fed up with calling all across the country for no real answer. I'll update when job is done.

That rubberized undercoating comes in a spray can. That would probably work hella good.

the stuff i used was dip in, just put it in the bottom of a cut open milk jug and dip the spring in it. The spray on stuff should work just as well.
