Firstly, called my dealership and they refused to do the installation as they get into "warranty issues"...

So I called up a few local shops. The cheapest wants $70 per spring installed. ($280 total). Pretty sure this does not include alignment. They also mentioned tax. I didn't think labor was taxable here in PA-- searched google but couldn't find an answer to that question.

I live just outside of Philadelphia, PA, USA and honestly didn't think it'd be that expensive to have a shop throw the springs on for me. Opinions of a decent price to slap on all 4 new Eibach springs?

That's outrageous what they want for installation. Most shops will charge labor by the hour and an install like this would take about 2 hours. At the going rate of $60-$80 per hour, you should expect to pay between $120-$160. Shop around, call around, but whatever you do, don't pay $280 for installation!

PLEASE do not pay 280 for your install. 60 to 80 an hour is more rational!!! I'm getting mine done for 60 an hour here in FlA. Good luck!

Cheers guys, appreciate the heads up. Thought that $280 was way overpriced...

Finding a decent shop can indeed be a problem.

The first exhaust place that I went to wanted 5 hours of labor, at 95 per hour, for a bolt on job. He tried to convince me it wouldn't be bolt on. I later got it for $100 at another place...

Just recently a body shop wanted $680 to install and paint my Stillen fascia. It's absurd. I installed it myself and am still looking for a place to get it painted...

I guess some shops really just don't need the business, and offer outrageous prices just to see if some sucker bites. Unbelievable.

I called another Nissan Dealership in my area. They wanted to do the install for me but for just over $700.

I told them that was absurb and that I had an offer of $280 already and that even sounded on the high side.

He asked me to hold for a minute so I did and he came back with a price of $500 something.

I told him I'll stick with the overpriced $280...

As for doing the install myself I do not have the tools nor experience to do so. Plus I'm really lazy-- so I'd rather pay to get it done.

Hey man... maybe its different here.. and you need the chutzpah (google it lol) but approach a nissan tech and ask them if anyone does work after hours... Bound to be one of the guys there... and they will probably do it for around $150ish or less.

D-Roll I don't know about easy... The spring compressors on the front are a b* I just did mine this weekend on my own. It is 100% doable with Wind's guide though. Best advice I can give is be very particular with the compressor placement, make sure you have them as opposite as possible and both are compressing 3 "levels" of spring.

All said: +1 for DIY.

Very true.. .. I rented the spring compressor from my local autozone for $40 (Refundable) and did it myself, but like I said and stxcrle said, make sure you compress them correctly, as opposite as possible because if you compress them too close they will slide close together and have to do them all over again.
