So I was at my Nissan dealer today and asked how much they charged to put on springs. They told me around 900 bucks! I have never heard anything so rediculous. I would like to get it done by them because I dont trust any mechanic around me but that is rediculous.

Agreed, go for it! There is much more pride when you do it yourself.

This is not something to try and "wing" without any experience... you could easily put yourself in the hospital...

I edited the thread to include florida, lets see the local guys chime in... $200 is fair, $900 isnt realistic... they dont want to do the mod for you, because ANYONE knows thats not fair pricing!

$200 is about right but you may be able to find it a little cheaper depending on where you look

You guys are getting raped! It's one hour of work and on the labor whiteboard, it's $45 MAX. That means even if they charge you with the most expensive type of labor, it's still only $45 @_@

I'd do it for a friend, but I sure as hell wouldn't do it for $45 or $100. It's not difficult, however it is time consuming (at least for me).

Actually mechanical labor is about 90$/hr down here in Fl and i think an hr is cutting it a bit short on time.

A shop would be cool. Whats the name and location? I am guessing they did a good job with your car?
