It's been a while since Ive been on here, but now school is done for the semester and its time to screw with my car! I only have I/E right now but im focusing on suspension, then brakes, engine, exterior last. I ordered some wheels and Im gonna be was wondering what springs you guys recommend for my S14. Im planning on getting AGXs for struts. I dont care about fender gap, but i would never say no to having it filled up. What i really want out of my spring is a comfortable ride, with good handling, with the biggest fender fill available under $250. What ive heard and seen on the internet are 3 or 4 choices. Sportlines, Pro-Kit, Tein S-Tech, and RSR downs. Gimme your 2 cents

I like teins, rs*r and the pro-kit..the sportlines actually dont handles as well...

most people who have any of those springs are very happy, but I think TEIN wins out on price-performance numbers.-chet

i heard tein He's can be too soft. whats your point?

its all relative, for street driven vehicles, both the eibachs and teins are progressive rates, which helps retain some ride quality. also, for non-track purposes a 240 willg et better lateral grip gains by getting better sway bars and slighty stiffer springs than most people would believe(coilovers are not the end-all of suspension mods).

as dennis has said, spring may get you 3% better lateral grip, but a properly done sway bat can do even better, and tires the best.

unless hes road racing, any of those springs will be fine.-chet

Im talking about the TEIN S. Techs of course. I heard from the zilvia.net reviews that they are really rough if you hit a bump or something. I assumed most springs would have that effect but im not sure. Im getting KYB AGXs of course. This is my daily driver so I want it to be as comfortable as possible. I hear alot of good things about RS-R but im afraid that all the good things are just hype since they were just newly released in the states. If all the springs are essentially the same then im just gonna get the TEINs.

Another suspension thing real quick. I foud these and was wondering what you thought...http://www.intensepower.com/spec50offpol.htmlLegit?

The Pro-kit AGX setup is the best for most daily drivers. It all boils down to how you intend to use the car. Tires can make the most difference in handling.

Ya, Im not really shopping around for strut bars right now, but they are the cheapest ones ive seen. Just interesting. I think im just gonna be like everyone else and go AGX/Pro-Kit
