I got #6 fuel injector within my 93 J30 replaced yesterday in an auto shop. When I picked it up and test drive, the engines works OK. But soon after the drive, I noticed that the car is tilted, and the left front tire is almost touching the fender.

Then I brought it back to the shop today. They told me the left front spring is completely compressed and locked mysteriously, and they don't have anything to do with that. And they offer a quote of around $600 to replace the strut and spring...Sound insane...I just spend around $600 to replace the injector. What does "locked" mean? Can the spring be restored again?

It does looked compressed...can't actually see the spring now, the tire is almost touching the fender. Just can't imagine what kind of force can do this. Is it too dangerous to drive it now without the left front suspension?

I would take the tire off and see what is holding it down.

Very carefully. Suppose a spring or spring mount could be broken/rusted or a strut could be locked in the compressed position, waiting to spring back. Where's the car been most of its' life? Rust never sleeps.

The car has around 130,000 miles on it, but still works and looks OK. I am not the first owner, but it has been well taken care of. I am guessing it is most possible the problem on the strut. If it is locked, should I disassemble it to release the spring?

If you have never worked with suspension, Namely Struts , you might want a reputable mechanic look at it.
A Quality Spring compressor and a few other specialty type tools will be needed.
But just removing the wheel and doing a visual inspection would be a good start.
If the spring or mounts are broken it should be quite obvious.
Just be careful and do NOT get between the ground and lower A Arm.
If whatever has it bound up releases you don't want to be in the way !!!
