The Story
My plan was to install all of this during the first part of spring break but it didn't happen. I had ordered all of the parts and had them waiting for me when spring break hit. I started with removing everything off of the car and getting it ready for all of the new goodies. This is how it sat when it was finished and how it sat for two more weekends.

There were many reasons behind this but the main one is that I was sent the wrong bushings set. The ones that I was sent when I order everything was the ones for an S13 and not an S14. I called the company that I ordered them from and they realized it was their fault and apologized but would not do anything about it. I was able to return the bushings but they said that there was no way for me to get the new bushings in time for me to finish in the time I gave myself. They gave me some story about how I wouldn't be able to get the new ones for about 2 weeks or so. Which ticked me off and I just went and got new ones from amazon.

After I finally got all of the parts that I needed I finished the project. I had to get the first couple of threads on my axles shaved smooth so I could get the nut back on them. I also had to do some shaving on one of the subframe bolts to remove some rust so I could get the subframe to fit back on the car.
I have learned a couple of things in doing this. Make sure to have enough time to do everything that you plan on doing and also make sure that the jack you have is a decent one. I did have a little $20 2 ton jack but one time when I was jacking the car up to bleed the brakes the car slipped off the jack and fell and hit me. Luckily I wasn't sitting under the car. So I went out and bought a low profile 3 ton professional jack that is about 4 times the size of the one I had.

Thanks man.
The wheels will be my next big purchase. They would come sooner but I had just gotten new tires for those not even a year ago. I really need to touch up the front wheels where some of the paint is starting to chip.

Any cheap suggestions would be appreciated since I'm getting ready to graduate from college.

Great job. Any issues with removing the rear sub frame bushings?

Did you have any problems with front end alignment? And it looks nice.

Not really but I just took them to a local machine shop and had them burn out all the old bushings and they put in the aluminum ones for me and only charged me about $90 for the whole thing. They said that there wasn't much trouble but they guy just used a torched and cut them out along with the metal ring that is inside.

I took it to a Chevy dealership that was recommended to me and they had it for about an hour and I go back to see if they had made any progress and they guy said that he couldn't even get it on their lift. Which is crazy considering how low a corvette sits to the ground and those have to have alignments too. But in the long run I just took it to another shop and the guy had no troubles at all once I showed him where the camber plates were. :chuckle: The guy was able to get it a zero front and rear with no problems at all. It just took him awhile.
