The SL that i bought had rubber pedals. are there any sports pedal available in the market for CVT transmission? If they are available, are they bolt on and easy to install? my gf likes metallic pedals better. please help

there are plenty of petals. especially for automatics.

For something more clip on. i would suggest Razo petal, they actually are pretty decent, and i had them on my last car.

Sparco and MOMO also carry petal, but they are more drill and bolt on.

Forgive my ignorance but what exactly is the point of a sports pedal?

So when your shoes are wet your foot will slip off the brake when trying to stop.

I believe they serve no purpose, at least thats wat i think. They are for aesthetic appeal.

No thats why the rubber on the pedals are not flat...they both do the same thing just one looks shinier.

Actually, Deke40 was referring to sports pedals when he said that...they tend to be slippery compared to the contoured stock rubber pedals that greatly increase traction with your shoe.

Someone asked what is the point of the sport pedals, and he answered, "so your foot slips off when your shoes are wet". It was a facetious answer, although truthful as well.

wow, i am really surprise with all the comment. I hate to say this but you are wrong. not all petal are like this. Very good petal are actually much better then that sorry. I had a set of razo petal on my last car, and after ti rain, it did not slip once. SORRY to Deke40 if you bought cheap Ebay brand, and they didn't work right.

Another useful things is that you can adjust the petal to do things such as heal-toe shifting more easier, because you can raise or adjust the petal height to fit more comfortable.

For Some people, change t he petal is roughly the same as changing the shift knob, it look good, and can also feel better to shift with then say the stock.

The sticker on my V was $19255, so I bought it loaded and seeing I am 67 years old I don't think I will being adding any superfluous (had to look that one up) addons.

Again, Google is your friend...

http://www.turnfast.com/tech_d...shtml

It's an article describing the heel-toe technique.

Here are my Razo pedals...

I do not slip when it is wet. This is actually two different products... the automatic transmission pedal set + the matching footrest (for the dead pedal).

I love mine. You have to take the cover off the brake pedal, and then they have plates and straps which secure them... I put them on sometime in late July (they were a b-day present) and I've had no problems, no slips, and they haven't loosened.

I don't know where my mom ordered them from... but these particular ones are also on CarDomain. (can I say that?)

Razo makes some of the nicest pedals you can find (as far as covers go). The downfall is they can be quite pricey just for some pedals.

Any pedal set for an automatic will work on a cvt equipped car as they use the exact same pedals.

essentially a CVT transmission is still automatic, you do not have to "MANUALLY" change gears.
