SportMax/XXR wheels?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I love the Sportmax/XXR 002 rims. But i have a 02 Sentra SER SpecV. It doesnt have the Brembo Brake upgrade. So i wanna do the 16x8 with the +15 offset. Yeah i know the will stick out. But how far? I wanna go for that Old School Nissan/Datsun look. I keep seeing the Scion Xb and Xa with these rims and fender flares. I plan on doing fender flares. Not quite sure the tire i'm gonna go with. Probably the 205/50 or 205/45-16. Any suggestions?

No way +15 will work, the suspension travel in bumps will put your tire into your fender in a hurry. It'll be sticking out almost an inch and a half.

I've wanted to run 16X8 for awhile, but there are practically zero wheel choices. Rota Slipstreams have a 16X8 +40 and +45, but the widest tire you could run is a 225 without pulling the fenders (+40) or using spacers/pulling the fenders (+45). I'm considering a +35 with a 225, it'll be very close though.

thats why i was doing fender flares... do you think there will still be a problem? Or anything else i might need to be concerned about?

Some people would say the suspension geometry would be screwed up, but to be honest I don't know enough to say. Head over to the suspension forum and see what you can find.

your best bet is to look for old school looking wheels on a honda forum! i think it would look sick though. you might could pull and roll the fenders and it would work if you had like a 30 offset or so. i would consider selling you my wheels if you wanted them. 16x8 rays 2 peice wheels (ultra rare) with a 38 offset. but then again they are 5x114.3 and i have a feeling sentras are 4 lug

Your feeling is correct. B15's are 4X114.3, so looking on a Honda forum won't help either as they're 4X100.

Maybe you should stay with higher offset wheels. The geometry as stated on a b15 is kind of his best at stock height, and bodyroll get worst and worst starting at 2'' lowered suspension. There's a great text about this by Kojima on his build up of a SpecV for race. You'll have for sure to roll fender mad to get those wheels to fit well and not to rub like crap, at the rear especially.Maybe you should stick with wheels made for fwd and not those made for a rwd.
