I am gona be ordering lowering springs soon cause this is gona be my driving car so i dont want to slam it. For thoes of you running these springs, which is more streetable? the sportlines drop 2.2 and the tein are 1.7 at there lowest. The rates have me leaning tword the eibach but the extra height of the tein may make speedbumps more possible. Any comments from you guys running them would be appricated.

never driven the sportlines extensively, but my s-techs are more than bearable for a daily driver. with my agx's, rear swaybar and bracing, its a pretty decent handling machine for what its used for.

make sure you get new struts too.

The Teins will definitely be more for daily driving. You don't really need to lower your car more than 2 inches with just springs. Definitely get new shocks.... agx's are awesome.

My friend has a 87 supra. He put teins/agx's on his car 2 years ago and they can probably go at least another 2 years.

Phillsnotfalling has gr2's with sportlines, I've driven his car plenty of times and its a nice ride. Its tighter than stock but doesn't ride as harsh as my coilovered cars.

Don't get Sportlines if you are concerned about strut longevity. The are quite frankly, the worst springs you could get. Look to the Japanese brands (Tein, RS*R, Tanabe, Espelir) for springs and you'll be fine. If you want to properly 'slam' your car-- coilovers are the only way to do it safely. Keep in mind that when you lower the car more than 1.5-1.8'' your camber will then be out of spec, I recommend upgrading other parts of the suspension to compensate (adj. t/c rods, toe rods, ruca's, etc). And for the love of god, don't get anything else but AGX's or Koni Yellows to pair your springs with.

We have a suspension FAQ, please use it:

I wonder if my comments about Sportlines come up on searches... I should get a custom title under my screename: 'Sportlines suck--quit askin!'

I read like crazy about springs and shocks before I upgraded my suspension setup. Sportline was the worst out there. I was going to get Tanabe GF210 with AGX, but eventually got Stance GR+ Pro.

Yeah they aren't that great but I got them for 90 bucks for him new so you can't beat that, its better than cut springs or the 4x4 look. I too roll on stance in my s14 and hipermax on the s13 that are for drag.

i dont want coilovers bcx im not going for a slam. I just want a better stance and maybe a little less body roll after i run new struts. Also i dont want the uber decrese in ride quality you get from running coilovers. either way tein it is.

like i said, i dont want the ride most coils give

1. there too much money for me right now, if im running coils i want kei office coils

2. I dont want to adjust them, if it was a track car, okay a daily driver, i think not

3. I completely understand all this ****, i did search and i was just asking for opinions from users, not the 2 ppl i found who posted on this before.

Out of the 2, I'd say go for Sportlines. The rides comfortable and gives a better stance than Teins. I've seen a S13 dropped on Tein springs and well....all I can say is it still looked the same to me.

Lowering sprins FTL though

i got sportlines no complaints. comfortable ride with a little help in handling. nothing as good as coilovers obviously, but they definately ride nicely.
