sportlines affecting shocks?

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I'm going to need to replace my front shocks soon on my 200sx but they were on the way out when I put my lowering springs on.

Adding lowering springs to any OE shock will cause premature failure, especially if there is a tremendous difference in ride height and spring rates.

i know this is a noob thread but thanks for helping. and here's another noob question. Should i consider getting higher quality shocks also when i install the sportlines? or should i wait until my OEM shocks die?

If it were me and the funds were available, I would. If there is low miles on the shocks, you will be alright for now. Just know they will wear out faster. Have you got a good price on the sportlines?

Keep in mind you'll have to rent/buy a spring compressor to do it all... and you'll also need an alignment afterwards. I'd do it all in 1 shot.
