Is there a difference in the brake size between an M37x Sport and a regular M37x? Also will a standard Infiniti wheel size 18x8 with an offset of 47mm fit over the Sport brakes. I have the 18s and would like to use them with snow tires this winter. Thanks

M37xS has the larger Akebono brakes, the M37x does not. Not sure which design of the 18" wheel you are running but I know my standard 18" 2013 M37 wheels require a spacer to clear the Sport package brakes.

I know this is a really old post, but how thick of spacer did you need? Would it still be the same for a 2016 Q70? I have an AWD model. Could spacers negatively affect this?

I think a 3mm - 5mm on the front would be fine. My stock 18's just nicked it a little. The rear will clear without spacers.

So I can confirm that you've put the stock 18's over your sport brakes and they will clear with a small spacer? You just tested it or you actually drove with them on? Do you know if this small difference in off set would affect the AWD?

I just want to prevent buying a set of wheels that will end up not working.

Hi
Sport 20" wheels are 20x9 et 43 of that helps
I purchased 18's for winter but I don't remember the offset.

I'll try to look it up and send it out.
I do have 25mm/1" spacers but I don't think I needed them to clear the sport breaks.

Thanks
Andy

Does anyone know if the studs would have to be extended with a 3mm - 5mm spacer? Can someone tell me a good hub centric spacer that fits our car?

By reading I've came to the conclusion that it shouldn't affect the AWD. Thanks

I'm running 20's since i didn't want to use spacers to make them flush and i just didn't like the stock design.

I test fitted the stock rear and fronts. The rear spins just fine, but the front scraped the caliper. You can try it with a couple washers, then measure them and order the right spacer. Hubcentrics are used for aftermarket rims so you shouldn't need hubcentrics or longer studs if you're using a small spacer. I remember reading on here that staggered wheels on AWD doesn't drive well so you might want to also add the same sized spacer on the rear.

One thing you also need to do is also buy the spare that comes with the sports model since the stock spare won't fit over the sports brake.

I think a lot of people don't think about this.

I would never ad a space that isn't bolted on with its own studs to mount the wheels to.

Of your wheels have reliefs to allow for the studs to be accommodated. I would never add a spacer that doesn't attach to the hub. Look at the inside of the wheel and see if you have the relief between the holes.

Just my opinion.

You can do whatever you want. Good luck getting a 5mm spacer with it's own bolts.

BTW, there's no such thing as a hubcentric 5mm spacer. hubcentric spacers are only for the donkeys who run something like this:

As you can see from the spacer on the left, it fits over your entire hub so it needs to give you a new hub to mount your wheels to.

I personally would never get a spacer that doesn't have studs to mount the wheels
As you said and add I know 5mm spacers don't that's why I would never use them so it's a free country and everyone can do what they want but using a 5mm spacer is not smart in my opinion.

If you want to install longer studs to accommodate then do it. I think you'll have a vibration in the wheels you'll never get rid of.
