Hey everyone,

Just a heads up for those Canadians interested in getting a V with the Sports Package. The pricing was updated today on Nissan.ca for the hatchback model. The package is priced at $1600.

If you already have the SL hatchback, can you still get the sport package ?

From the dealers that I talked to before, yes it can be installed aftermarket. But be aware that you have to pay more. If you request it at the time of purchase, the dealer will probably include the package in the final price. But if you've already purchased the car and go back in for it, you're probably going to have to pay labor to have it installed. They need to order the parts and install them when they come in.

Yeah, well that's one of the advantages of living in the east. You guys get the news earlier than the rest of us. That said, the only time the west gets any attention is during elections, since the BC polls are always the last to close.

Back on topic,

As the sunroof is part of the sport package for Canada, I doubt you can get that part of the sport package aftermarket. You can probably get the body pieces installed though.

And does anyone have a link to an image of what the new body pieces will look like?

The sunroof could easily be ordered and installed. It would be installed the same as any other sunroof by the dealer (send it to their dedicated installer). It will probably be an item that the dealer decides how to go about. Either they will purchase a unit from the local installer and have it installed or order the factory unit and have it done by the installer. Granted it's probably cheaper that the dealer to have a downgraded sunroof installed, but if you demanded the factory unit it could be done.
