Does it really provide better performance or anything? Can I put my own spoiler on later? (The same one that comes with the sport package) Cost and everything on it?

Its not just the spoiler that is the difference...there are also rear dampers(?) used in conjunction with the spoiler, which make the spoiler a practical application.

Suspension is also much better, stiffer and better handling all around.

It really just depends on how you are going to be driving your G...but most people want the sports package.

Drive one of each. Then decide.

I think the Sport models also get limited slip diff, which is a plus when it comes to performance.

Here is what you get with the $1650 sport package.

- Viscous Limited-Slip rear Differential (VLSD) - Solid-magnesium paddle shifters mounted on steering column - Split 7-spoke 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with W-rated summer performance tires - Larger brakes - Unique front fascia and side sills - Front sport seats with thigh extension and driver’s power torso and thigh support - Unique sport steering wheel stitching - Aluminum pedals

I didn't get it, but I liked the seats alot.

Limited slip differential is on all models from 2005 up(with the coupe), but the sports package includes a more aggresive LSD (VLSD with sports package)
