I'm new to the infiniti world so excuse my ignorance. I have a 2006 M35. I noticed some people say they have a sport. does a decal designate it as a sport or is it the features?

Welcome to the forum.

The sport version of the "M" has a few differences.

Sport/metal brake, accelerator, and foot rest. Darkened front headlight lenses. Stiffer springs. Metalic interior trim. Sportier seats I believe. Also 4 wheel steering.

Others will chime in I'm sure.

The easiest way to tell is the interior trim is metal looking stead of wood, and the pedals are metal.

Also, I think I remember someone telling me that the wheel in your avatar is the sport version and not the regular one.

Sweet! I love this car more & more everyday. I don't know how I ever lived with out it. I've had it for about 4 months now. just last month I found out the mirrors tilt with left/right is selected when I'm in Reverse. This is what I have off the top of my head:The wheels shown as my avatar, with full spare.Back-up camera.Nav/DVD pkg.BOSE 14 speaker stereo. (speakers in the seats are sweet!)Metal pedals.Silver trim. The cars stock & I know you all know what she looks like inside already but I'll take some pics and post them ASAP anyway

Stan_izzle,

Call Infiniti corporate, give them your VIN and they'll confirm whether it's a sport model.

The only "definitive" way to know if you have a true Sport model (2006 - 2009) is to look at the rear suspension and locate the caster/camber actuators that are part of the rear active steer. Also if you have a RAS idiot light on the dash that lights up at startup. Everything else on the sport package can be added after the fact, also there are many sport M's that have the wood trim.

I'm not that mechanically inclined to know what I'm looking at under the car, but I do have the RAS idiot light come on upon start up.

Thanks guys for all your help
