My 2011 M37S Exhaust System needed to be replaced. I bought a gently used Y Pipe and new Sport Mufflers. I then took the heat shields off of the Y Pipe and rust converted, primed, and painted everything with high temp silver paint. Did the same to the existing Resonator Pipe. Then I took everything to the local Muffler shop and let them install it all. I supplied new Gaskets and Stainless Steel Nuts and Bolts. It looks nice. It took about 500 miles for the new paint smell to stop after heating up. The Sport Mufflers are a bit louder and have a deep growl. The Boss was driving the car and stopped for gas. When she started the car, "Bubba" in the beater pickup truck heard the growl and was surprised to see a woman in a M37S. Would I buy the Sport Mufflers again? Yes. They look better than stock, cost less than stock, and have a nice deep growl. These are the genuine Infiniti Sport Mufflers in polished Stainless Steel.

nice, stock mufflers hide the beautiful sounds of that engine.

I love my mufflers as well; they look sharp & sound good, especially at startup. I think with no other modifications to a V8, startup is all you'll notice about them. The V6s seem to have a more entertaining relationship with these.

Also, I am not sure if I got a defective set of mufflers or if this is an issue that largely goes unreported in the M/Q70 forums. There are a larger number of complaints on the Q50 forums, but I'd hazard that there are proportionally more Q50s on the road/getting modded.

The issue:
I bought my mufflers from a V6 owner and he said his car would drone at 1500 rpm. In my V8, I sometimes get a buzz at 1000 rpm - but only when I have been parking with the tailpipe facing the sun. I found it to be a feedback issue with the Active Noise Cancellation system - https://youtu.be/KuLg8Fh1pa0

I put the Sport Mufflers on my 2015 Q70 over a year ago. I love both the sound and the look. They're not loud and offensive in normal driving, and sound great when you do a fast acceleration. I remember when I first installed them that I loved the sound when first starts up in the morning - and still love it today. Highly recommended!

There is a little "drone noise" at 1,475 RPM on my M37S. Not objectionable. Kind of fun.

The sport mufflers are a good improvement, eventually I'd prefer something a little louder. I think the sport mufflers improve sound on the V6 better than the V8, the V8 was still way too quiet.

Just to make sure you know the sport package doesn’t come with sport mufflers. They are only an option to buy from the dealer.

Unless a dealership installed them but I haven’t seen that happen.

I had put the sport mufflers on the 5.6 but it needed more. I would have done custom 2.5-2.75 pipe from cats back to the sport mufflers if I would have been able to keep it.

The resonator delete will make the exhaust a little louder. if that's not enough (it wasn't for me), deleting the secondary cats will make it even more aggressive.

Sooo, if I have the sport mufflers, I still would need to get an aftermarket Y-pipe and mid pipes to have a NON stock exhaust system?

Or do I just keep it with the Sport mufflers and get a set of HFC's and call it a day?

Just adding the sport mufflers will add better sound. But you aren’t freeing up too much more of the exhaust flow.

HFC would help the cats flow better but then between cats and muffler may be still restrictive. It is just up to you what all you want to replace with aftermarket/custom pieces.

Yeah.. The car already has the Sport mufflers, but lately I have been seriously thinking about upgrading the rest of the system.
