Alright, I did a search and found one thread about these rims (Sport Max 962) but it was about them on s13's. I have an S14 on stock suspension, so will 17 x 9 +35 work all around on say 235 / 45 / 17 tires?

not sure about s14, but on s13 youd need a 15mm spacer, regardless of tire size, to clear coilovers...at least in front, it will clear in rear no problem

seeing as youre on stock suspension, you have a little more to work with, but not much

id say still probably would need a 5mm spacer

Ya, I'm not worried about the rears at all I know they will clear fine, not sure about the fronts. I know S14's can fit wheels better in the front than S13's.

Front of S14 needs a spacer. At least I did when I test fit them on my car. Although I had tein coilovers, which I heard have a bigger bracket than other coilovers. SO you might not need as big of a spacer

Just to warn you those are cheap wheels which is nice but the weight is crazy on them, 24.8 each. If you dont know to effect of unsprung weight then you shouldn't get any aftermarket wheels before you learn. Not trying to scare you away from them, I just want you to be aware of this issue.

The wheels look sweet, if I was going to have just a show car I would get them without question. But if your thinking about much track time and even daily driving if you have bad roads I would really think twice about them.

I know about the weight, BUT some guy on Zilvia said he got them and weighed them and they were actually 19 lbs, not 25. And anyway, I have really nice roads around me and I'm not looking to ever track my 240.

Well in that case get them.

Here is a thread to prove 17x9 +35 are 24.8 lbs, just look at the title. On that forum the SportMax have been talked about alot, so some prople were saying only 19-20 others saying 28-30. So this guy decided to really see.

i dunno about shock and spring since i dont have that, but it will in no way clear coilovers without spacers.

I actually went outside and measured everything. 17x9's up front with a +35 will fit on my car, but just BEARLY. Maybe 10 mm clearance at most. I'll try them up front and it should be fine, but if it rubs badly I'd only need a 10-15 mm spacer even though I think spacers are super gay.

I'm pretty sure all he has done is just got a measuring tape out and looked to see. I can promise you you'll need spacers for the front. Reasoning is look at the 17x9 +20 FN's. Anything more than a 225/45 tire needs a spacer pretty much. So 15mm's closer to the coil-over/strut-spring means even less clearance. I'd say a 10-15mm spacer will be needed. Thus a s14 may have more clearance then a s13 that I'm basing this off of. But you will need a spacer.

A 10mm+ spacer is a pretty meaty spacer. You may need alonger studs to be safe.

i have 18x8.5 in the front and it wont clear the strut tower cup on the bottom..WHAT SO EVER...i have a 225/40/18 in the front and probably have about a half a mm of space between the tire and the cup..if i sit on the frame it sits on the tire...one solution would be to get a thiner tire..possibly a 30 or a 35...if a spacer is put on the car would just look ridiculous because the wheels would stick out of thefender
