Has anyone heard of Spool rods before? They are made in AUS and they are cheap ($645AUD=$568USD today). There are a few guys over on calaisturbo that run them in their 500-700hp track cars, but I can't find a good review of whether they are good or bad.

The website (http://www.spoolimports.com) rates them at 900hp and they come with ARP fasteners. There's also an ebay auction that I think is through the same shop that makes them that pairs the rods up with a set of CP pistons. The pistons look like they are very low compression pistons so I would double-check that.

I was just looking to see if anyone has had direct experience with them and what their opinion of the rods was.

I plan to use just eagles. They are about the same price.

There have been no complaints from the RB30 guys using them. I have a set going into mine. Just need to find the time to get it done!

yeah; they are good stuff and prtty prominant in aussi; their rods and pistons are ordered(made) manufacturers here in USA then ship to Aussi. why would buy something that is made here then shipped to Au then ship back to you ??? you can see the reason for the extra cost they add in the their prices. their rb rods $645, i think made by eagles.
