you get sponsorships by doing something different and unique.with all of the 240 enthusiasts going KA-T and SR there is very little market for shops to sponsor another car doing it.

Trust me ain't nobody got any money for sponserships You have to be pretty special to get sponserd by someone this day and age. I've been around I put out presentations got crews together and everything. How you get sponsers is actually putting the car together going to the races and showing what you got and standing out of the crowd and getting noticed. After you get noticed then people start paying you to put there name on your car. Me I took all the names off everything highperformance I have on my cars from throwing away stickers to sanding the Edelbrock logo off of my intake.

I may be wrong though and I'm going about it the wrong way. But lets put it this way I have lawyers certified mechanics One with a 10 second honda, a shop and quite a few cars of capital and noone would sponser me and my business. and I'm one of very few mechanics that would even work on import cars.

Not to shoot down your dream cause anything could happin. But you gotta bring something big to offer for someone to consider you.

Also did you try calling me that day. They cut off my phone and the bank was being funny with my money so I couldn't turn it back on til thursday morning I have a whole bunch of flyers for ya if you still want to pass them out for me. and Like I said If you need help with your car just bring it by I'll help you out no charge.

Hey, no kiddin! Since when do things come your way for free?

"The thing you thought free, is often most costly."

Only after years of hard work, dedication, banged up knuckles, late nights, empty bank accounts, and failed marriages will a regular guy's car get noticed by potential sponsors. All for a couple of free parts...

well, that leaves me very few options1.work, hard, like 3 jobs (100-150 a week is not working)2. play the lottery, then buy a skyline or something3. get a job at a car place and get hooked up that way4. there's no 4

oh well, thanks for the help though, i never looked into sponsorships, so i didnt know how ridiculous it was

True, so true.

Then you realize:

1) There's always someone faster.

2) There's always a cooler car.

3) Your HUGE investment really ain't worth JACK, because mods don't appreciate in value.

4) Contrary to what MTV/SCC would have you believe, your car really doesn't get you laid.

Spend the money/time/effort bettering YOURSELF and the world, rather than improving something that will be rotting in a junkyard in 5-10 years.

Getting sponsored isn't as hard as you guys seem to think. At least getting partial sponsorships. Lots of companies partially sponsor cars but yeah it is a bit difficult to pull down full sponsorships where they give you free parts and or money. Usually your best time to try to land stuff is when a new car comes out and you have it. If they are wanting to make parts for your type of car it is actually pretty easy to get freee parts and such. When the Spec V came out I know several people that got free crap like spring or intakes for letting the company proto the parts on their car or getting their name out so people know there are parts on the car.

Companies only want one thing from a sponsored car and that is exposure (the more you can get the more likely you pull down sponsors).
