just last week I got a phone call from these people telling me that they are willing to sponsor my car for $12,000 yearly. this is good news for me considering i'm running low on money for mods at the moment (just started a new job!) i wanted to know what i should be looking for when i sign the contract, do they try to throw a curve at you?? should i hire a lawyer?? well...neways if u wanna c my car it's at http://members.cardomain.com/jab11185...the exterior is in bad need of a paint job and yes i did paint the valve cover...i know it don't add horsepower i was wondering if the s*** was any good...lol if ne1 could give some opinions on the sponsorship subject it would really help a lot....thanks

Why are they giving you 12,500 a year. Thats all you need in a lifetime to create a bad *** 240. i dont understand why someone would give you that much money without a catch. i mean your car isnt even modded

haha....thats a scam bro. LIke RAcerXmotorsports did. I went thru that and a few people that I know. It's also not a full sponsorship, meaning that you still have to buy their products.

Why would a company ask for money to "reserve" a spot. I'm sponsored by Bomex, 5zigen, Rotora(to name a few) and they NEVER ask for money to "reserve a spot"

Why would someone sponsor your car over some other stock 240 driving down the road. Legit companies dont just throw money around for people. You gotta do some work too. Any sponsor you will get will definately not be a full sponsorship. You're gonna have to buy stuff from them and pay for most of it.

right way of getting sponsors is to send proposals. Why would a company sponsor you? Is your car really special for them to sponsor you? How are you going to promote the company? Remember, its not what the compnay can do for you, its what you can do to the company.

lol, i kinda figured that real companies wouldn't want to sponsor a stock car...i kinda did it as a joke and when they called it surprised me, now that i really think about it, that would be way too easy...i don't want everything to happen overnight...and thanks to my new job i shouldn't have a problem doin it myself, thanks 4 keepin me out of a scam:D

i am in awe of your superior knowledge...:bowdown :bowdown

Im sponsored by APC! just kidding, You know whats weird?I was going to buy those Konigs in 17" in hyper silver and I decided to go for the Tenzo R Apex- 5 instead, same style but different color. If your going for show go for the Konig's they are hot looking but if your going for auto x or drifting go with the Tenzo R Apex-5's you will love them.

The whole ''sponsorship'' that they have is garbage. You have to order all of the parts from them- you get $12,000 in DISCOUNT. This means, THEY CAN MARK UP THERE PRICES ALOT, and you could still be paying more for a part then you would if you werent sponsored. I believe its called a co-op, kinda confusing, but you half to pay half price for everything, plus shipping.

Example: Greddy Intake ManifoldNormal Price ~$300Their Price ~$450You pay $225.

Ok- this ^ sounds good right? Right... Lets say you dont BUY $12,000 in parts in that twelve months YOU SIGNED for, then you HAVE TO PAY FULL PRICE for ALL of the parts. Dont sign it, I've learned a lesson with them.

A guy here just received his contract in the mail from that company. This are the highlights.

well heres the details to my sposership contract through sport compact pro disributing

the example they use is I buy $12,000 worth of stuff they pay $6500 of it

minium of 4 events attended in the year(photos taken at each event with decal visable)

they will pay up to $12,000 for parts/labour per year

after they spent $2400 of $12000 they pay for dyno time

they pay for all shipping

if i want part they dont have, it has to be further dicussed with them, but they carry a huge line all top brands act, tein, apexi, 5zign, turbonectics, defi, blitz...huge list

must have 2 4x6 decals on car in visable spots

Now I just copied that from another board so take it with a grain of salt. It sounds to me to be pretty fishy that you need to spend 12,000 (of their products) and they will pat for $6500.

RacerX. **** those people. Its a total scam. I got had by them, chalk it up to young and stupid. I mean who doesnt want to be sponsored??

They give you a heck of a deal off of RETAIL price, but i promise you anything you talk to them about (IF you can ever get through on the phone) will cost more than at any one of the NICO sponsors.

cuz if it's 5,500 i wish i had gotten in on that before i did my SR swap lol
