I was under the impression that only the S15s had VVTC....could be wrong though. =\

Arent all sr20's the same thruout the chassis as well? Not sure what you meant by that. But yes its true that S14 and S15 SR20DET's have Variable Valve Timing. The reason you never hear about it is because, unlike Honda, the Nissan version doesnt do much to augment the power curve. I wouldnt be shocked if the VVT was disabled on the stock engine and you didnt lose much power. It is disabled for high hp applications too (ie turbo upgrade).

i meant that the s13's arent equipped with variable timing and s14/15's are. Essentially, i thought all sr20s were the same.

VTC was equipped on the S14 and S15 to combat the poorer flowing head. It's not something that you really want.

S13 > * :D

my problem is choosing between the s13 and s14. I like the interior of the s13 more, feels more snug and has the ****pit feel. The guages are more appealing to me, and compared to the s14, i dont get the same feeling in it. The guages appear very bland and generic. However i prefer the s14 body more. At a crossroads as interior is very important to me. Im leaning towards the s13 tho

what does that have to do with the engine, you can put a s13 in a s14...unless you are in japan, or some othere place where you actually are buy a car that has a sr in it
