When you have actual wind tunnel data to support it in the case of the Versa and OEM spoiler I'll believe it. On a low cost product like the V, I doubt the Nissan engineers went through that much trouble. On the GT-R, certainly. In fact, 2 years of win tunnel development for that.

Since wind tunnel testing is very expensive, I think it's safer to assume there aren't any benefits. Besides, a spoiler isn't going to keep the V from being blown all over the place by a Freightliner. Controlling airflow under the car makes a bigger difference.
