(Already did a search. Info was not helpful. I'm not going for the bondo or hole-less-junkyard-hatch options.)

So, I need to plug the spoiler holes on my hatch.

1) Where do I buy the flat nylon plugs i've heard about? Which exact sizes?

2) What kind of water-proofing sealant would be safe to use on the hatch?

Thanks in advance.

bondo sucks. cut out metal plates, weld onto holes from inside part of trunklid. then fill in holes with spot welds. smooth out, sand, primer, paint.

Thanks for the input. But, I'm only looking to go for the plugs as a temporary solution.

Anybody?

I did what exactly fantabulous but then some of my original metal warped so I suggest you don't weld too much, just tach around the hole so it can hold up the sheet metal. I'm left with some warped metal...is there anyway I can flat it down again? Do I just hammer it down with a rubber hammer?

if theres room, try and put a block underneath the lid where you're hammering from the outside. it should help keep things even. if your careful, u can try heating it with a torch first, but im not sure if its such a good idea if its already warped though. if the warped area bubbles out, it will be harder to fix, as opposed to concaving inwards, where you could just add filler. im not sure if a rubber mallet would do it. they make special plastic tipped hammers that body shops use. shouldnt be much if u buy them individually.

Old school auto parts stores used to sell these black rubber plugs, mainly use on the holes left after removing the metal trim on old style cars.....like little rubber bumpers. Maybe they still carry them or posibly they are available online.....

i just put some foam tape stuff on my holes from inside. i had it there for like a year before i got a spoilerless hatch, and they never leaked. i always worried about people walkin by and pokin em in tho.. haha
