I believe they're only available for the SR and the Miatas, but I could be wrong,

if you're looking for an upgrade, I'd suggest what a whole lot of people with higher powered cars are running, and that's the HKS ignition booster thingy :D I can't remember the name, but it works with your OEM coil packs,

probably not what you wanted to hear, I'd suggest looking at takakaira.com possibly? I thought I saw some Splitfire stuffs on there,

i know they make some splitfire coils for ca18detcause i saw some sold on ebay like 5 or 6 months ago...but looking at rb coil packs they look kinda the same and i think they do make them for rb motors.. see the problem im having on my motor is on high boost i get a little hesitation which feels like ignition problem,it's not running to rich cause played with safc II and switched out injectors from 460cc to the stock 370cc. well the 370cc dont work so well under 18psi pings hard but on both injectors from 3k-4500rpm while turbo is spooling it jerks a few times like if im loosing spark.....any suggestions??? and check out my mods see if anything i have could cause the problem

if you're pinging then that's gonna 'cause your problem, too much pinging and you've toasted some stuff,

They are the exact same coilpacks used in the CA18DET! If you can find them, go for it.

i don't have ping when im running 460cc injectors.i switched them to the 370cc only to see if my 460cc were bad or not. with the 370cc i still get hesitation like the 460cc but with ping,im not worried about it pinging cause i knew it would ping with the 370cc just wanted to make sure the 460cc were not bad.so my suspect is a bad coilpack cause 11-14psi it is ok but when boosting 18psi it jerks from 3k-4k rpm ,but pass 4k it is ok...thats why im looking for better coilpacks that can handle 18psi

a recent post on freshalloy claimed the splitfire coils cured his mis-fire problem on his SR... thread titled had "SDS" in it. Maybe u can clip that guys email to see where he got his.http://forums.freshalloy.com/u...=5&o=

uk forum addressed this topic, but I can't remember what the fix was.. whether it was plug type, gap, range etc. I'd check those 1st

I wanna get rid of my coil-on-plug all together, and run a cheap GM coil packs with plug wires like miata and DSMs. I've too many of these types of coils fail and I think its too harsh an enviroment to put them, and plug reading/changes would be alot easier.

They get cooked, that's why they fail. I always pull the cover plate between the valve covers on coil-on-plug engines to give them a chance to breath.

I thought about drilling the rack lengthwise and ciculating a liquid cooling system around the coils

I would think it would have to contact more of the coil body than that to be effective, your fan idea would certainly help.

I just took a dremel to my cover and slotted some holes in it.... then managed to loose the bolts, so I am coverless now.

I would pull the cover off the latest Skyline but I will likely be going with the Splitfire coils and they would subvert my sleeper plot if victims saw them.
