Ok, So no yelling, I've looked for this and just can't find.I would think it would be somewhere already, but searches don't come up with a step by step.

Installing CA18DET, in 88 Pulsar SE CA18DE - harness/ECU intact.I have the harness off the det, and an extra CA16DE harness ECU etc.Can I graft off either of these? Or must I get the resisters somewhere like Radio Shack and splice them into each injector lead?

Pics please of how/what you did. Thanks!

the det harness has a plug on it for the resistors... and the resistor pack should be plugged into the plug. if not. then you can swip a resistor pack off of a dsm or something similar.

Yes it does, I can't use the DET harness though as it's a U11 Bluebird, and it's no where near a Pulsar SE compatibility range. Anyway, yes it has the resistor pack, and the CA16DE has the pack too that is on the firewall. So what you're saying is pull that part out, with the injector loom and slice it int, echaning it for the injector loom of the CA18DE harness. Correct? No need to buy some resistors from Radio Shack as I have what I need off either the U11 harness OR the CA16DE harness?

if the harness that you plan on using already has a resistor pack on it then you should be good to go. i'm about 99% sure on this. they should all be the same. what harness are you using anyway? i'm confused now.

Wait. Why don't you just use the CA16 harness? IIRC, it's got the resistor and it's set up for COP too.

If you're using the ca18det harness, this will help you.

I also have a dsm resistor and pigtail for sale $30 shipped, known working.

You DA Man! Perfect.I can get this off the U11 harness I got with the motor. Picture is worth 1K words. I'm leaving the Ca16DE harness intact for the next one!

I can't take credit for the drawing, but I'm glad it helped. Get it running!
