getting a black on black 08 G35X finalising my car sale early next week and at the same time working out the details with US dealers. And if everything goes as planned following week I should get my car.

I do love the look. however I did not buy them because the just build more snow at winter driving. However there is a benefit at summer drive. Every time I see a G with it I always want to buy a set.

For $85 I am going to take the leap and order them. I'll post a pic when they're installed.

Thanks for the feedback.

Most everything is stick on ,but along the bottom you will need to drill some holes to install clips, you use screws for the front edge.Should get instructions with kit.Had to lift car and remove wheels to install, did it in my garage one wheel at a time. The splash shields firmly attach to car which is great.Good luck with installation.

Make sure you use some touch up paint or something after drilling the hole. So the rust can't start there.

I tried to order the guards but the only blue colour they list is Blue Slate. According to Infiniti's website there are two versions of blue - Blue Onyx (dark) and Lakeshore Slate (light). The website (everythingg35.com) says the guards are 07+ sedans. Does anyone know if Blue Slate is an actual Infiniti colour?

Thanks in advance - and my apologies - I'm trying to figure out everything about the G as quickly as I can.

No worres,

Here is the list of the color for 07 in Canada.

ivory pearl(qx1) platinum Ice(k23) serengeti sand(k32) diamond graphite(k51) lakeshore slate(b30)blue onix(k52)garnet ember(a51)black obsidian (kh3)

Ask for the color code if your are not sure. They should have it I think.

Check the VIN plate on the door jam. I believe the color code may be there.

I think the factory splash guards are a must for any G especially the coupe. My rear tires stick out very slightly especially towards the bottom of the rear bumper so I need all the help I can get to protect the car and also to visually better surround the larger 20" wheels.

BEFORE

AFTER

It is a nice if subtle addition - my freinds wife had stopped by while I was in the middle of the install - she asked what I was doing - I told her I'm installing splash guards. A couple of weeks later she saw the car and asked me why hadn't i installed the splash guards. I said I did - I actually had to get out of the car and point them out to her

I did my install over 2 days taking my time. If you do it in one shot make sure you allow at least 2-3 hours uninterupted and take your time. Make sure the areas of the car you are working on are clean and free from grease or dirt. You may also have to use a cleaning agent to strip any wax from the areas where the double sided tape adhered to. By all means follow the directions.

At some point I will do the front lip spoiler. Good Luck

Wow, great look and great advice. Just seeing if the manufacturer can get my colour - Blue Onyx - which is apparently only available in Canada. Sent the colour code to see if matches with any of the colours in the US.
