Is there any parts out there you'd like to see SPL carry something similar to?

Can't promise we'll carry anything but we are always looking for new stuff to try.

As in: What parts we want you to make for us?;)Keeping it suspension related, mabye some Nismo Power Brace knockoffs, or Do-Luck center chassis brace. Some triangulated STBs would be nice too (just make one that works w/ the CA). I already plan to go all SPL w/ the rest of my suspension needs (multi-link, RUCA, and subframe spacers) it would be nice to have everything I need made by you as well.

ROLL CAGE...autopower makes a nice one that fits both h/b and coupe s13....

:)bolt in...w00h00.

a peice similar to that HKS tunnel brace would get my moneys..fender braces(the front things)...

if you could make upper pillow pounts that'd be awesome also.

uhm...oh oh..cheap things..."solid steering" peices, it's an aluminum disc with 4 holes that goes in your steering shaft to replace the rubber bushing...

thats about it...-chet

I would love to see some thick sway bars, like GT-R thick, or largus thick.

somwthing like the nismo power brace, but in a bolt on manner. where as the nismo is one welded unit, have your piece bolt to the stock traction control braces.

if you can beat the cusco price at Phase2 ($80 I think) for the T/C brace, that would rock.

I don't know if its possible to do in a 240SX, but what about something that braces the front of the transmission tunnel, and also makes an X to tie into the front subframe. This is a factory piece put on the BMW E36 M3 Lightweight as well as Convertibles. Since most the chassis flex seems to be ahead of the firewall(fender braces...), this piece ties the subframe to the main unibody of the car, really tightening things up.

I got one for my M3 and it was an awesome piece.

Shouldn't be too hard to make if the existing holes are there in the body and subframe, just need to add some nutserts in the subframe to screw the sucker into.

Nismo Power Brace II is bolt in. Just replaces the brackets. My buddy Oke has one.

I just thought of another one - what about a machine aluminum piece for the bottom of the shifter to replace that small plastic cylinder thing? The plastic seems very firm, but I think Tanabe has this as part of their "transmission brace" package, they also have a "shifter coupler" that attempts to keep the shifter more solid by pretensioning it.

It's a bent piece of metal that costs over $200!!!

Here is a pic of the BMW X-brace. The straight bar attaches on each side of the transmission tunnel, while the X part attaches to the front subframe of the car. It effectively takes alot of the stress off the front subframe bushings/mounting points and reduces the force that the frame rails have to resist.

roll cage for S14...one behind the seats with a bar going across the middle so that you can strap on a 4-6point harness...maybe a full roll cage...rear braces, under the car. oh oh...make a cover for the sunroof...i want to get rid of mine so making a cover that gets rid of the glass...kinda like what SCC did with the Mini and the sun roof.

air ducting into the front of the car...ducts for the brakes, intercooler, radiator etc.

I'll second the rollbar suggestion with a harness bar(for an S13 tho', not those fat S14's ;) ). Not sure if that fits in with the image you guys are going after, but more choices are always good in safety equipment.

Heim ball joints for the RLCA and FLCA (s14 & s13)...not only is there NO replacement at all available (for the rear), but one for lowered vehicles would fix some suspension geometry problems. Like the Steeda ball joints for rustangs...they only cost $100.

What he said,

A roll cage with a bolt-in, removable (!) harness bar. They have them for spec miatsa, and they're great!

Chrome moly, aluminum or carbon fiber driveshafts/half shafts would be excellent

5 lug conversion kits (like the Attain) from SPL would be outstanding.

Finally, An all inclusive suspension/bracing kit with the bushings pressed in would be great!

Quote »5 lug conversion kits (like the Attain) from SPL would be outstanding.[/quote]Oh oh! Yes, that WOULD be awesome. I don't see any reason why the hubs have to be $350-400+ for just the front set. This would make going to 5 lug for the S13 so much easier than sourcing junkyard parts. Heck... I'll probably have to end up going with some expensive JDM brand of hub since I'll be upgrading wheels soon.

This is something we more than likely would not carry as it's a pain to ship.

I just ordered my roll bar from kirkracing.com ... very nice people.

its a bar that goes up to about shoulder height behind the seats and has four plates ('points') that connect to the body. It's dedicated to hold the harnesses at shoulder height as opposed to bolting into stock seatbelt points that could crush your spine in an accident.
