Back to the topic...

Anand...I just got my KTS coilovers today...

When I took off my front strut/spring combo (tokico blue and eibach prokit) and when it was uncompressed (obviously since it wasn't on the car anymore), it appears to be a good 4" longer overall length than the KTS front coilover length....I hope this is normal...because I thought the KTS coilovers were adjustable from a 0-4" drop. I wasn't expecting the shock to be so much shorter in length...Are all coilovers shorter than the strut/spring they replace? Why? So when i jack my car up with these coilovers on, my front wheels will go up with every stroke of the jack pretty much...

I hope I'm not three-wheelin' around every corner, because 4 wheels are better than 3 for traction....eeek

yes, that is normal..

with stock shocks.. you will have a lot of travel with them... they will compress quite a bit when you sit them down.

now with coils, they are meant to be much much stiffer so the traves and compression is less as well... hence no body roll..

so yea if you go around a corner and are all uneven.. you possibly go 3 wheelin...

the bad thing is if you have a open diff... watchout going up driveways.. cuz you won't be able to because one of your rear wheels can go up in the air and the power will go to it and make you just sit there...

but these coils are awesome!

I have them set at 3rd level from softest for daily drive and they are comfortable...

I tried 2 notch from the hardest and it was stiff as hell.. would be perfect for track!

The reason I was concerned is because my shocks AREN'T stock, neither are my springs...they're tokico blues with eibach prokit springs and they were reasonably stiff for a shock/spring setup...

I'm glad I have a LSD....I can't wait to install these things.

When you say you have them set at "3 notches from the softest," are you referring to the dampening adjustment found at the bottom of the shock body?

What do you have the camber set at for the front shocks?

What size wheels/tires are you using?

How much of a drop compared to stock do you have it at?

Any pics of the car from the outside so I can take a look at things like fender gap, etc?

Thanks man.

I had Eibach pros too but those still are not as stiff as these..

yea, turn the knob all the way to soft and then go up 3 notches... that's where I have ine set all around..

you can play with that and see what you like.

I have crappy 15" rims with 195/60/15 tires so my fender gap is horrible...

I will be dropping it lower and changing the camber settings again when I am done dropping it.

you will have to adjust the camber on your own depending on how much you lower the car...
