The old style vastly superior Z32 SPL Upper Links are available again from SPL Parts. Saw about 4 sets there. These will work spendidly on a G50.

Call them for information.

Allows adjustment of camber, will last a long time. May not be as quiet.

Probably around $300, but I don't know.

More important for those with lowering springs.

I don't think so. I believe those were the Stealin' ones.

Unless MoD has made some changes, Da Beast has a set on the front that have been on the car for close to 4 years. I think a key to the longevity of these is regularly greasing them.

Oh yes i greased the crap out of them hahaha, mine did not totally fail on me the bushings just off centered the bore the bolt goes through, in my opinion the SPL units look to be better quality, i need to buy me a set.

so is the entire multi-link setup from spl g50 compatible? i was planning on importing some jdm g50 specific parts but everything looks very similar and the savings would make it worth it. the added bonus of driving a couple hours to have them set it up is a huge bonus as well.

Yeah, they're still on there. They definitely require regular greasing. Good to know people have broken them in the past...now I'll be extra-careful about greasing them.

On my car the front tension rods are by TEIN and are S13 chasis 240sx parts, direct bolt on. The rear upper control arms (RUCA) are Stillen parts off of a 240sx, the front upper control arms (FUCA) are from a 300zx and the Toe rods are from a 240SX from SPL. All are bolt on and work great except the front uppers i have had problems with those as far as quality.

how about lca's? i have noticed a lot of these parts are listed across the s13, s14, and z32 chassis by some manufacturers so i can pretty much figure out interchangeability for the rods and uca's but lca's seem to be much less common, due to cost no doubt.

remember that if you want to install these upper links on your car you MUST have a set of solid tension rods on your car!!!!!!

Wes, can you please elaborate on that comment? Do you mean you should have non adjustable OEM ones or aftermarket adjustables with the "solid" non rubber ball joints on the ends?

How harsh would the ride be with the SPL special (putting everything that SPL offer on)?

The issue is there cannot be any play in the caster direction with the solid upper links. The reason is a bushing allows some movement in the fore/aft direction, but if you have some caster play you will wear the bearings out prematurely...

Even having poly bushings in the stock tension rods wouldnt be enough I dont think. I believe SPL requires that you have the solid bearing adjustable tension rods in order to honor any warranty claims.

the nice part about all the solid stuff is that while its slightly more harsh (but its worth it IMO for better handling) is you never have to replace those components again, you just replace the bearings when they wear out!

You will notice and feel the road more throught vibration in the steering whell its slightly more harsh but its still comparable to a stock Q just sportier. I love them because you can accurately adjust the links back to oem specs when you lower the car.

Not without shimming the upper llink inboard mounting bracket.

Dang! I hope i didn't screw up my suspension rehab project and alignment. I just had O.E. tension rod bushings pressed in and have California Custom springs to install as soon as i buy Tokico Blues. I'll also have active swaybars to put in. Hopfully everything can be aligned up right!

The rear requires a Z32 RUCA to align correctly, after you shim the front upper link brackets.

the camber is going to be off but not enough to matter IMO. More important to get an alignment to get the toe back in spec.
