Hi... we bought my son a used 2010 Nissan Murano a few months ago. Out of the blue, there is now a spinning hourglass on the information screen. Anyone seen this before? Is there a trick to reset the info panel? Or is this a mechanical issue?

Try a hard reset on the battery. Disconnect both terminals and short the lugs together to completely discharge the electrical system. That will force any software that's off in the weeds to reboot cold.
