Spider tried to total my 240!!

Hello All,

Today could have been a very crappy day, but quick thinking and a little luck saved my butt. I was driving to the grocery store and Vato-Zone with my friend Mike when I felt a little tickle on my neck. The next thing I know, Mike is yelling at the top of his lungs that there's a spider on my chin!!

Good lord I could feel it crawling on me, probably laying eggs everywhere! I swiped my neck and that SOB flew onto my leg and I hit the brakes on instinct. Unfortunately I tried to lock em up and slide off the road, but a quick downshift and a lot of gas and I straightened everything out.

In the meantime, the spider crawled off my leg and disappeared under the seat. I had to pull over right away and scoop him out on the side of the road; I just couldn't wait until Safeway......

That's the crazy part! It was some weird, bright yellow spider about the size of a nickel.....not scary big, but big enough to warrant a flip out!

that happened to me too....but it happened to me when i got pulled over by a cop. it wasnt a big spider it was pretty small actually.. but he had a web going to my seat from the back because i could see him in my rear view mirror because the cop had his bright *** lights on me. i couldnt freak out or anything because a cop pulled me over. so as soon as the cop left i killed that little sh*t

Hmmm you shouldnt get too freaked out by spiders too much... They are fun creatures to be with if you get to know them well enough...

I grow a tarantula and it's about half a dollar bill big... They are fun to be with....

I took showers with a spider... He lived on my shower wall but didnt wanna kill him sooo... I just let him be while i showered and he didnt bother me...

I was inspecting a vehicle today and found a 5-foot black snake underneath one of the tires. I scared it out and managed to snatch it up by the head and tossed it over the fence, not before playing like i was steve irwin. My co-workers were a little suprised i actually picked it up.

Well I found a bunny and brought it with me in a shoebox and my idiot brother let it out and I had drive around knowing there was a bunny somewhere in my car. Then since he still wouldn't come out I had to lure him out with lettuce and carrots.

I was driving to work the other day with my windows down and some bug, I think it was a locust or something, hit me right in my left eye. Luckily, I was wearing sunglasses or I could have been injured, but the thing scared the crap out of me and I freaked like a little girl.

this was when i didnt have my 240. so most of my commuting was by bike...

this one time when i was biking up a hill, cause i hate walking, my heavy breathing made me suck a fly or insect in my mouth.

We had a tarantula once, it was like 4 inches in diameter, we still have the exo-skeleton. His name was harry and he liked sucking the goo out of big crickets with his giant fangs.

By mid day, it was just swollen and I felt better, but it's now Thursday night, the swelling is gone, but it still itches like hell. I still don't mind spiders that much though. Generally harmless.

Anyone have the 17-year cicadas? DC area knows what I'm talking about. Man, those things hit the windshield and make the biggest smear ever. Then when sitting in traffic I'd have the windows open and they'd fly in and land on the dash, and just chill for a while. Then fly away like nothing happened. Weird.

Oh I mountain bike too and it hurts like a ***** when you get hit in the face at speed with a cicada.

I don't really have a fear of spiders. I respect them. I pick them up all the time, and set them out of harms way. I don't ever kill them.

Wolf spiders are probably my favorite.

one time, when i was like 8, a bumblee bee flew into the car window and stung me on the neck, i went to flick it off with my hand, and it stung me on the finger. it hurt so bad, adn i remember when i got home, i was pissed, because my hand was swollen up and i couldn't play my nintendo (i had just rented ninja turtles 3: the manhatten project)

i really dont like anything like bugs or roaches or anything like that. ya'll remember i ythink it was black sheep or tommy boy, where they get pulled over and act like there are a bunch of bees??? thats would i do i would freak out and be like there is a huge spider in my car thats why i took out that stop sign but this thread reminds me of the one where that guy found like a brown recluse that was like as big as a football! Yeah, bumbles only sting once. Might have been a wasp. I HATE roaches, but I personally love spiders. Whenever I find one, I just stay calm, and set it out of harm's way like Jesse said.

Anything that eats mosquitos is a friend of mine For that same reason, I like dragonflies too.

Im not scared of spiders at all casue I work construction doing heating and cooling so I am under alot of houses and see alot of huge spiders, I had never seen a Black Widdow until I started doing this work. I have learned they will leave you alone as long as you leave them alone....

oh yeah? wait until u guys see a centipede! spiders are NOTHING compared to those mofo's! I love spiders....but centipedes? friggin long with hundreds of legs! if one of those bite you ya better go to the hospital!....I mean you can TRY to step on em (with a nice thick shoe) and still not kill it....they're that tough...usually have to get a machete and chop it in half....then figure out which end will try to bite you!

one end is the head and the other is the stinger head....and they can move either way! it's like a dragon with a head at each end...only not cool!

Im not scared of spiders at all casue I work construction doing heating and cooling so I am under alot of houses and see alot of huge spiders, I had never seen a Black Widdow until I started doing this work. I have learned they will leave you alone as long as you leave them alone....

thats with most animals. Unless their a dog, if their a dog or any meat eating type animal they will smell fear and go after your arse
