So in my 93 hatch I swapped in a 89 single slammer. It had the 93 gauge cluster in it and the rpm and mph never worked. I was told I had to put in a 89-90 gauge cluster, so I put one in and it still doesnt work. The prm gauge needs a fuse so I know that will work but the mph wont, he said the mph didnt work, the guy I got it from, but I put it in anyways.

But anybody got any ideas I can do without having to buy a whole new cluster? I don't have the money to buy a new one but I was wondering if you could wire up a separate mph gauge?

The only thing different between the clusters that would need to be changed would be the Tach. Single cam tach is different than the DOHC tach. The rest should be ok.

Your MPH gauge could just be dead. Look on ebay for a used cluster...
like this...

I replaced the spedo on 2 of my 4 S13s over the past 11 years and both times it was the spedo that had died. Where in NC are you btw?
