The speedometer in my 1990 240SX doesn't work. It works when i start the car then it dies a few minutes later and from then on it's just erratic. Sometimes it works for a second other times it just jumps up and down. I was told to replace the speed sensor, but that still didn't help. Are there any other sensors I missed? What could be causing this problem!? Oh it's a manual transmission... any ideas? :D

It sounds like the speedo head is out and can be replaced as a seperate part once the cluster is removed.
