speedomiter stopped

My speedomiter just stopped working when i turned it on yesterday. anyone know or might know what the problem is. i assume it's just a wire problem...i hope.

ya probobly just wires. see if your odometer still works. start by checking the speed sensor on up

I really don't know about the s13. I would look for a Chilton car manuel for your car. It tells everything about the car. I found one at my local library and then went to napa and ordered one. It had really helped alot. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Good luck.

Just out of curiosity, how much did u pay for your chiltons? I was thinking about getting the Factory Service Manual (assuming they're going to be the best) but i didnt know how much the price difference would be, i hear the FSMs are an easy 8o-1oo bucks

The speedometer sensor is very easy to replace. I belive its one 10mm bolt holding it in to the passenger side of the transmission. It should come right out with out too much effort. watch out for transmission fluild, becuase it will flow out of the speedo hole. just stick the new one in, you don't really have to even try to line the gears up and plug it back in the harness.

I think my chilton was around $20-$30 dollars, but i'm sure the FSM has more info in it.

well i called Napa, Advance Auto Parts, Auto Zone, and PepBoys, and none of them had the hayne's manual for the 24o. Im going to look online now. Oh, i called Nissan and they said they dont make the books anymore, they're all on CD ROMs, and guess how much those are....................'like 3oo bucks'

my chilton is a 240sx/altima for the 95-96. Napa had, next time i go up there i'll ask them.

is your chiltons any good,i hear they're pretty crappy,but ive never actually seen one. And they seem to be one of the only alternatives to the FSM of almost 7o bucks after shipping

call dyments, i think 800-247-5321. if i remember correctly fsm for the s13 is like $85-88 to your door. ups lost my first one so they sent another to replace. and still had it 2 wks from originally ordered. i thought the chiltons was too broad because it covers s1o many years and several models (stanza, 200 sx). fsm is specific to year and model.

No way in hell. The chiltons is absolutely horrible. '82-'92 200sx, 240sx, and stanza in one book. 3 completely different cars over 10 years and at least 6 different engines in a book about half as thick as an FSM for a '91 240sx. Get an FSM. I found mine on ebay for ~$70. Anyone who would pay $300 for a cdrom version of the FSM deserves to be ripped off. Check ebay every day for a few months, one will turn up. If you do all your own work on your car, the $70 you spend on the FSM is well worth it. $150 would be worth it in my opinion.

if you are looking for factory service manuals just go to ebay and look for sr20 installation DVD's I bought 2 and they both came with factory service manuals on DVD Rom. you can put it in your computer and print our the section that you need, comes in handy. In my opinion anyways. if anyone wants a copy of these I can make you one, just let me know.

i thought about getting one on CD, i can dl online for free and print what i need,but it just takes too long, id rather have the book sitting htere when i need it
