I have replaced every wire, bypassed all connectors, replaced the trans. sensor, and am on my second used speedometer which came out of a car which it worked in. My speedometer sits at about 14 at idle and then goes up to 39 no matter how fast im going. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong?

Is it an analog cluster or HUD?

My HUD will freeze at one speed for a day or so, then start working again. Then sometimes it will just read 188 for a while. If yours is digital too, then probably the only way you're going to fix it are swap to an analog cluster or buy one new from the dealer. Chances are most digital clusters in the junkyard are broken.

My display is a digital one without a HUD.. Can i simply get the analog gauge, cable, and sensor out of another 240 and put it in mine? i mean, what about the 115 mph limiter in the ECU? I have an S13 chassis if that makes a difference. I know the engines just not all of the electrical. Anyone that is fluent in the wiring or electrics of the car let me know, i need help with the reverse lights as well.
