Speedometer Problem!!!!!!!!!

I switched from a Digital speedometer to an Analog speedometer with a needle because the digital one was giving me problems. Now the Analog one will come on and work for about 15 seconds then stop reading like it just shuts off and when i'm driving sometimes it just turns on then goes back off. I checked all the wiring that goes to the cluster and their all connected good. Any suggestions??????

Is your car 5speed or auto?

if its auto it might be the speed sensor on the transmission. its the last plug on the transmission i believe. check it out maybe faulty wires?

Yea its a 5 spd, but it could still be the speedometer sensor.........i'm actually having it looked at right now by an auto tech and hes hooking a comp up to it so I should know, then i'll post what was wrong.

my HUD cluster is doing the same thing... I'm going to try putting an extra ground wire for the cluster and see if that helps any, keep us updated!

Yea I just got my car back. They hooked the comp up to it, but it said it wasn't the speedometer sensor and they checked it........they told me to just try another speedometer, after all the speedometer did come from a junkyard though lmao!
